Adbrite Advertising Program

I have been trying Adbrite for a while now on all of my blogs. I'm not making much money with it - about $2 per month right now - but I do like it a lot.

Adbrite offers a variety of advertising formats and types of advertising including;

* Text ads
* Banner ads
* Rich Media ads
* Full Page Ads
* Inline ads
* BritePic

The text and banner ads essentially work like Google - select your format, enter info about your site including key words and so on and plop the generated code where you want it. However, as you build your 'zone' you can chose to include full page ads and/or inline ads too and when you generate the code for the ad it is all in there already - nothing else to do.

Full page ads are like pop ups and you get paid a small amount for each time they display. You can set limits on the number of displays per user and so on to make sure they aren't too annoying. In line ads work like Kontera and highlight words in your text that when the user stops on that word with their mouse an ad is displayed.

Britepic allows you to utilize those images on our site for advertising too and is simple to use - there is even a code generator associated with Britepic too.

The reporting is also very good and quite intutitive so you can see what is generating revenue and what isn't while getting and idea of hits to you pages too.

Make Money Here

Of all the services I have signed up for the one that is seriously the best is Matched. I strongly recommend this service to you all. Why? because it is easy, regular cash.

Yes - I have posted about it before but I don't see that many of you have followed the link and checked it out....

What does this service do?

You register all of your blogs and then they find advertisers for you. They notify you when a suitable advertiser has been found and you go back to the website and cut and paste the code, drop it into your website and THAT is IT!

Then you sit back and wait for your monthly paypal account debit. And... they pay in British POUNDS! Yes, it can be a hassle setting up your paypal account to accept a foreign currency but once done, it is done....

And, as the US Dollar falls and falls, guess what? Your revenue from this service goes up and up in US Dollars due to the exchange rate.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

This Guy Has Some Money Making Ideas...

I stumbled on a website that has some great money making ideas recently with a strange sort of blog title - Self Help & Personal Development w/2k Daily Visitors. I'll admit I visited the blog initially because it had a post about mine but I came away with a vast haul of new money making schemes and ideas to put to the test.

He claims his easiest source of income is Paid to Click programs. The mind boggles - paid to click ads? But apparently so and quite profitable too apparently. What I did like about the sit particularly is how it is a resource for bloggers who want to make some cash. It's easy to navigate and get around and the stuff you really want to know is at your finger tips.

Check it out.

Nice Monthly Income

There is a rather nice service that matches advertisers and Bloggers called Matched. Basically you sign up and enter your bogs and pages you would like ads on and they match ads to your blog. They tell you when they have an advertiser for you and provide the code for the ad (you pick the format). You drop it onto your page and forget about it. A few weeks later they pay you a few UK Pounds per ad directly into your paypal account. Nice huh?

TMX Service Really Works.....

A couple of weeks ago I signed up for a new program by a company called TNX and I am totally impressed. The TNX website states that;

"While being aware of all pluses and minuses of the methods listed above, we decided to create an advertising system that will include all of the pluses and would let publishers generate bigger profits by using the potential of every single page of their sites, and advertisers - get better results in search engines.

TNX.net allowes publishers to sell links from each page on their website, and for advertisers it allowes to buy millions of links from other sites in few clicks. TNX is a convenient tool that allowes publishers and advertisers to save time, efforts and money: in just a few minutes you can have thousands of links from hundreds of high quality relevant sites linking to yours.

Another Way to Make Money

Here is another interesting service and way to make some cash - TNX. You can buy and sell links with this service. It uses points but points have a cash value and can be earned or used. Earned points can be cashed out.

Not only is this a great way to promote your own blog cost effectively but its a good way to generate some extra revenue from your blog by being a publisher. It has a good affiliate program too.

Matching Ads to Your Blog

I recently signed up with a service that matches advertisers to your blog. I signed up about three weeks ago and today got my first order and place the banner ad on one of my websites. That service is Matched.co.uk.

When you sign up you get the opportunity to provide details on your blog and then set up advertising formats that you'd like to place. They then match an advertiser(s) with your blog, email you a notification when they have an advertiser and create your ads for ou. all you have to do is cut and paste the html they create and drop it in your web page. Done.

The Rise and Rise of adult Blogs

Want to make money on the Internet? Want to blog for that money? It seems that the answer to that question is often yes and the result is a pornographic blog. Let's face it, they are easy to do - simply add a picture or video every day and a few titillating comments and off you go? Wrong actually.

The adult web business is massively overcrowded and the business models are changing. Why would anyone pay for content if its free elsewhere? The porno paysite is finished unless it has a truly unique angle. The rise of porno blogs is helping to change the business model in the porn side of the internet. Free content everywhere.... Webcam sites are dying too. After all, why pay for access to a webcam when there are girls that will 'perform' for free?

Not to speak of the moral implications of building yet another porno blog or website.

Scratchback - Blog Donations

I recently came across another way to make some money that appears to be still in Beta form but nevertheless is a pretty good idea. It's called Scratchback.

You have probably seen blogs asking for donations - sometimes by asking for a cold beer at the end of an article or even as a menu item. I have never received a donation so I have to believe the big boys in blogging who swear that it works. It never has for me.

Well, I think that Scratchback is a great movement forward in the area of donating. Basically, as you can see in the left hand column of this site, there is a widget that says Are you in my topspots?. This is a Scratchback widget. If you donate $1 to me, you get to list your site on this widget. Its $1 advertising but it's also a donation. Pretty neat huh?

Of that $1 you get 60 cents. Their payout minimum is $25 and they pay to a paypal account.

In fact, if you open a Scratchback account, you can pick from a number of different widget designs and you can set your own donation price.

I know that this works because I have had some success with it already at another blog site.

Currently, they don't offer an affiliate program unfortunately.

Horses for Courses

When it comes to advertising on blog sites and making money from it, the keyword is simply traffic. You must have traffic. It's simply the law of averages that if 1 person in 100 clicks on an ad (on a pay per click basis) per month than you won't make much money if your traffic is say 200 visitors per month. The more traffic you have, the more click throughs you should obtain and hence the more money you stand to make.

However....
